Cub Scouts!

Pack 1727's newest Tiger Cub, Evan Williams!

Drew likes to wear big brother's cap.

Here's Evan after receiving his Bobcat Badge. Notice the badge is upside down. We flipped him over and Kim pinned the badge on him. To turn it right side up again, he had to do a good deed. His good deed was done before we left the Blue and Gold Banquet. Someone had spilled cake icing on the carpet and made tracks across the room. Evan volunteered to scrub the icing prints off the floor with a spray bottle and scrub brush.

Elliot says that he can't wait to be a Cub Scout and get his Bobcat Badge, just like Evan. At the dinner table tonight, Elliot said, "Guess who's the King of all Cub Scouts...EVAN!!" Posted by Picasa

Sam Houston National Forest

After Evan's official induction into the Cub Scouts, our first family outing was a hike. How fitting. We found this place while we were driving around in Cleveland, TX so Drew could nap in the car. When he woke up, we all took a stroll on the trail.

The East End Park

This park is at the end of Kingwood Drive. A beatiful place to hike and just enjoy God's Creation.

Animal Tracks

One of the really neat things about the East End Park is the diverse wildlife that live there. Here are some tracks that we found along the trails.

This one seems to be a bit too pointed to be a domestic dog. We're thinking maybe a coyote which the park claims is an inhabitant. But maybe it is just a dog.

Dog prints. There are dog prints galore in this park since so many people walk their dogs out here.

Here was a neat find. According to our tracks chart, this print belongs to a crow!

And this is the print of a white tailed deer! You'll find lots of deer tracks here. Amazing! Posted by Picasa
