What a Successful Day!

Today was Evan's 1st day of school. We did 2 phonics lessons on the parts of a paper and the first set of basic strokes. He did a great job and listened very well. We had a few interruptions from Elliot, but that's nothing unusual so I gave him his own "school" work to do. Evan took a small break while I put Drew down for a nap and then did a poetry lesson. Once both little ones were down for noon naps we read a chapter from "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe".
We are going to start his Math lesson on Thursday, because he starts learning the calendar and they begin with September. I sent a picture of Evan working at his desk. Gran and Pop got him the desk and it fits him perfectly. We might need to be on the search for another one for Elliot.

Today was Elliot's 1st day of potty training. I did not decide to coincide the two events, Elliot took that upon himself to not want to wear a diaper and he successfully used the bathroom twice so far. We'll see how that goes!
So tonight I think we are going to celebrate a day of firsts. I will keep you all posted on our schooling and training. Keep us in your prayers and we will pray for you all. We love and miss you.

God Bless,
Chad, Kim, and the boys
