Evan's First Day of School (First Grade) is Today!!
Evan's first day of School is Today!! He is starting the first grade. Here are a few pictures of the Homeschool Room. Special thanks go out to Gran for sewing the Curtain and for the Globe and decorations! They make the room really have that school feel!! Please keep Kim in your prayers because she'll need all the patience that she can get!
Eight Year Break
Scott's band (named after their length of absence) played at Cooler's in Lake Charles on Friday Night August 25th. They put on an outstanding show and they even let me get up and relive some of the good old days!

Oh, give me a home where the Buffalo roam...
A few weekends ago we took a trip to Deussen Park on Lake Houston where they have buffalo grazing safely behind a double fence. After a while, one of them came right up to us to check us out. He wasn't grumpy or anything, so I don't know what Pop was trying to do telling us all those stories about mean buffalo! (sarcasm alert!!)

Drew reading a book
Kim came upstairs and saw this and had to get a picture of it. Drew had put this cowboy hat on, gotten on the bed, and started "reading" this book all by himself!

Our Day at the Reptile Open House
One of the parks near our house had a reptile open house. There was a caiman, an albino desert kingsnake and a very, very big Bermese Python.
The boys loved it.
